Volume 12 - Number 8

Can God Trust Me?

When you own something of great value you want to make sure it is kept in trustworthy hands. You want your money to be with a bank you can trust. You want to be treated by a doctor you can trust. If you own stock, you want the stock to be in a trustworthy company. As any owners of Enron stock recently learned; It’s risky to be the stockholder in a company whose leadership you can’t trust.

What about you and me? Are we the type of people that God can trust? The Psalmist says, “Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart” (26:2).
The Bible says that each of us ought to “examine ourselves” (1 Corinthians 11:28). From time to time it does us good to take a personal inventory of of our lives—realizing we are accountable to God.

---------- A TRUST TEST ----------

MYSELF - Have I given my life to God? If so, how much?

[ ] Just Sundays
[ ] When convenient
[ ] Most of the time
[ ] Completely

POSSESSIONS - Does God have ownership of the things in my life?

[ ] Leftovers
[ ] About half
[ ] Everything but my money
[ ] Usually

TALENTS - Do I know what talents God has given me?

[ ] Yes
[ ] No

Am I using them for God’s glory?

[ ] I used to
[ ] I’m going to
[ ] Yes!

THE GOOD NEWS - Do I let my light shine for God?

[ ] My battery is dead
[ ] I keep it on dim
[ ] Lights up all the way.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10
Am I Ready?

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

Colossians 3:17

This Sunday we will be having a special contribution towards our building program. This will help enable us to know how much financing will be needed for the project.

Fifth Sundays

The next 5th Sunday contribution will be on March 31st. The contribution on each 5th Sunday will be placed into the Building Fund.

Special Contributions

This month we will be working to raise as much capital as possible and ask that you remember this in your prayers and your giving. For those wishing to make a special contribution to the Building Fund — Envelopes are available in the foyer. Be sure to mark your contributions: BUILDING FUND.

New Budget

Please note that the budget has been raised to $ 2000.00 per week. Each family is asked to consider the new budget and the building program as they purpose what they will give.

“And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up,
and every one whom his spirit made willing,
and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work …
And they came, both men and women, …
and brought a willing offering unto the LORD …”

Exodus 35:21-29
