What is in it for me?

To obey the gospel of Christ is to answer the world's greatest challenge - to live the Christian life. The Bible teaches that through faith one has "power to become" a follower of Christ (John 1: 12). By being baptized (immersed in water) one is put "into Christ" (Galatians 3:26-27). Newness of life follows and the Christian adventure begins (Romans 6:3-4).

What is there "in Christ" to cause us to want to obey the gospel? There is:

Consider what you now have in the world. Is it worth it? If not, then consider Christ!

Surgery Needed ... During my recent visit to Ghana—I was asked if I could help find the assistance to allow the following three individuals to have surgery.

In Adonkrono, there is a 5 year old boy with a club foot. While in Ghana we arranged for him to be examined and paid the initial costs for the surgery so that he could walk normally. $ 100.00 is needed to cover misc. expenses.

In Ashaiman, a 15 year old girl is in need of extensive plastic surgery to remove a tumor from her cheek. The surgery is scheduled for Sept. 28th. Cost—$ 500.00. Click for Photo

In Takoradi, the daughter of one of the local preachers is also awaiting surgery. Cost—$ 200.00.

Your help is needed. If you can help, please let us know.

Please send all contributions to: Church of Christ, 4301 S.R. 776, Venice, FL 34293 and mark your checks for: Ghana Missions/benevolence.
